KC Honors Greatest Royal Team in History!

Talk about the Royal treatment! Kansas City proper is “just” 467,000 residents, but 800,000 packed in on November 3rd to give their respect to the World Series champs. Stretching from the Liberty Memorial, all that could be seen was a wave of royal blue. The team and newly crowned 2015 World Series winners walked through the crowd, led by Alcides Escobar with the Commissioner’s Trophy.

Yordano Ventura held the Dominical Republic flag across his shoulders while Johnny Gomes held an American flag. The team rode the famous 2.3 miles from Sprint Center to Grand Boulevard, an homage to the last route the Royals took when they claimed the World Series championship in 1985.
