The Jazz Museum Jazz Festival

The Jazz Fest 2015 has arrived and is taking the Kansas City area by storm. Discover everything the American Jazz Museum has in store for blues, bluegrass, jazz, and rhythm lovers throughout the month of October. On October 9, BMW presents Indigo Hour which is a multi-faceted event showcasing some of the best jazz from the Vine District era. You can also hear Hermon Mahari and Julia Haile at 8:30pm.

The Kansas City 18th & Vine Jazz and Blues Festival officially kicks off on October 10th with The Family Stone, Popa Chubby, and Conrad Herwig. Indulge in treats from local food vendors, dance the weekend away, and don’t forget to pick up discount tickets in advance for $10 ($15 at the door). Need help securing tickets? Jazz It Up

The Jam Sessions are back with Everette DeVan on October 12th at 7pm. This Colorado native is classically trained, and is known for making an organ sing like none other. Max Berry hits the stage on October 15th, bringing over 45 years of musical entertainment to the Blue Room.

You’ll find Gray Matter on October 16th, an exhibit that highlights some of the best local jazz of the region. No matter what kind of jazz you like, you’ll find it at the Jazz Fest or at any of the other incredible events taking place this October.
