Hallmark Visitors Center
Located in the Crown Center Complex, the Hallmark Visitors Center is open Monday – Saturday from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. By far, the most Hallmark cards are purchased for Christmas (1.5 billion), with Valentine’s Day coming in second with 144 million. This makes December the perfect time to visit this landmark destination.
Here, you’ll learn how a Nebraska teen started out with just two shoeboxes full of postcards and moved to Kansas City to make his dream come true. It’s been over 100 years since those humble beginnings, and today the billion-dollar company has six separate businesses. Hallmark is also home to one of the biggest creative communities in the world. The brand has worked with world leaders, famed artists, US presidents and many other notables to grow into a company of love and connectivity.
Say It With a Card
Pick up your own holiday card while at the Hallmark Visitors Center—they’re available in 30 languages and in over 100 countries! The Hallmark Live exhibit shows visitors exactly how cards are designed and made, while the Bow Machine is a whip-fast wonder that’s truly enchanting. You’ll never look at bows the same way again. Take a look at the Emmy award the Hallmark Channel received, and pick up a keepsake ornament as a gift or for yourself.
There’s also a Disney exhibit, and a number of seasonal temporary exhibits you won’t want to miss. Admission is free and self-guided tours are available. Hallmark takes up just one ground floor and is easily ADA accessible.
