Celebrate the Celtic culture at K.C.’s Irish Fest in Crown Center!
Happening Labor Day Weekend, see live music, Irish crafts, and cultural exhibits all hailing from Ireland. Be proud of your Celtic roots – or pretend you have them!
Food and Beverages
Various restaurants and food trucks will be present at the festival so that you can enjoy some Irish food as you wander through Crown Center. Enjoy burgers, fish and chips, and reuben sandwiches from O’Dowd’s Irish Pub or fried artichoke hearts, bangers and mash, and corned beef from the Dubliner. Afterwards, enjoy a whiskey tasting with six brands and a whiskey expert to guide you through! You can also enjoy whiskey at one of the two designated whiskey bars.
Entertainment
Enjoy Irish dancing from three talented troupes, as well as live music from artists like Byrne and Kelly, the Irish Aires, and One For The Foxes. There will also be storytellers, because the Irish tell a yarn better than anyone. Laugh at comedy from Chris Kent When and Dave Nihill, and on Sunday, you can even hear a traditional Catholic mass.
There will be genealogy workshops available, in case you’re interested in tracing your family tree, cooking demonstrations, and you can even learn about the brewing of a Guinness! If you enjoy the festival, you can even talk to one of the travel agent booths and book your own trip to the land of rolling green hills. See handcrafted pieces and get an early start on your holiday shopping. From leatherwork to blown glass, you’ll see some amazing things.
