ArtBra Kansas City
What is ArtBra KC?
ArtBra KC takes place on May 4 at the Midland Theater. It’s a unique and fun art auction that celebrates the bra as an empowering symbol of triumph over breast cancer, and as a work-of-art that can benefit those breast cancer patients just beginning, or still on the journey. Last year’s inaugural event raised more than $95,000 to benefit breast cancer patients in Kansas City.
How does ArtBra KC help women fighting breast cancer?
ArtBra KC is an auction of one-of-a-kind Art Bras and unique pieces of art. All of the Art Bra models are Kansas City women who have survived breast cancer or who currently have breast cancer and are fighting to survive. The money raised at the auction goes to the Missys’ Boutique Patients in Need Fund at The University of Kansas Hospital Cancer Center. Missys’ is an appearance center designed to help cancer patients and survivors reclaim their self-image and self-confidence with spirit and style. The Patients in Need Fund helps those patients that are uninsured and underinsured benefit from the boutique’s cancer-related services and products.
