Arrowhead Stadium

Home of the Kansas City Chiefs, Arrowhead Stadium is a massive, state of the art facility hosting some of the biggest and best events in the KCMO area. Football season has arrived, and guests lucky enough to take in a game at the stadium do so immersed in history. As the 28th biggest stadium in North America, and sixth biggest in the NFL, the stands hold over 76,000 fans after a $375 million renovation in 2010.

In 1963, the Dallas Texans relocated to Kansas City and got a new name (the Chiefs!) but played at the Municipal Stadium, which was shared with the MLB. Municipal only seated 35,000 football fans, and a new merger in the 1960s required football stadiums to host no fewer than 50,000 people. Voters approved a multi-million dollar bond for a new stadium, and the rest is history.
