Ambiance on the Water
What’s more romantic than a covered gondola ride? This Valentine’s Day, treat your sweetheart to something special with Ambiance on the Water. Located at the Country Club Plaza, you can reserve a standard gondola ride online or book a special romance package for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries or other special events. Upgrade to include flowers, chocolates, and champagne, or customize your ride by speaking with one of the booking agents.
Gondola rides are also the perfect way to pop the question. Normal hours are Wednesday – Saturday from 6 – 10 p.m. However, if you customize your ride, nearly any time of day can be arranged. Typical rides last 20 – 35 minutes. Same-day bookings may be available. Keep in mind that February can be a tricky time of year, and the regular season spans April 1 – November 30. In case of weather troubles, gift certificates are available year round.
Love is in the Air
Another option, in case of inclement weather, is a stroll through the Loose Park Rose Garden. Get a glimpse of the dormant roses, and search for the most romantic, unusual, and wackiest rose names. The gardens are located at 5200 Pennsylvania Ave.
