Cinco de Mayo in KCMO
When Cinco de Mayo falls on a Saturday, you know you’re in for a weekend of fiestas, fun, and much more. Start the day out with the Cinco de Mayo 5-Qué, a run/walk and kid’s run that heads out from Guadalupe Center at 9 a.m. Register online at cincodemayo5que.com. Registration ranges from $12 – $40, and you can count on a serious fiesta when you cross the finish line complete with authentic Mexican power dishes and live music.
Stick around for Fiesta Mexicana also at Guadalupe Center, with a party going from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday. Need even more? The free event picks up again on Sunday from 1 – 8 p.m. Otherwise, head to Cinco de Mayo Mexican Food and Wine Pairing at the Weston Wine Company for the entire week. A Fiesta to Remember
At Rudy’s Tenampa Taqueria, the tent party features drink and food specials with live music starting at 4 p.m. Head to 1611 Westport for an authentic south-of-the-border-style gathering. Howl at the Moon, located in the Power & Light District, is also known for their Cinco de Mayo party. With Blue Margarita Buckets, drink specials and more, it’s a party you don’t want to miss.
