What to Pack When Traveling to Kansas City
Pack your bags, you’re coming to Kansas City! Kansas City travel can be difficult for some, because it is hard to know exactly how to pack your suitcase—especially in the winter months.
Kansas City weather can be unpredictable and many say you can see all four seasons in one day. We’ve had one of the warmest winter’s on record, but don’t let that fool you. A high of 70 in December will find the next day with snow on the ground. Bring clothes that you can easily layer and always be sure to bring a warm coat.
Kansas City is also known for our flourishing arts scene and culture. A transitional wardrobe that can carry you from day to evening is essential when you travel to KC.
While KC is considered one of the top shopping destinations in the Midwest, many of our shopping spots such as the Country Club Plaza, The Legends Outlets, Zona Rosa and the City Market are all located outside. While you should always pack for cool temperatures, don’t forget to pack some sensible shoes that are good for walking. The Plaza alone spans over 15 city blocks!
Speaking of shopping, when traveling to Kansas City, one must remember to leave a little room in your bag for all those fun things you’ll only find here.
