KCMO’s Only Spanish Restaurant
It’s surprising that such a foodie-centric town has only one Spanish restaurant (with two locations), but when the tapas and sangria are this good, all you need is one! La Bodega is known for their impeccable tapas and wine menus, open for lunch, happy hour, dinner—and brunch!
The “Spanish Eggs Benedict Project” includes a variety of benedict brunch options like The Costillas with short ribs, El Pavo with roasted turkey, and, of course, more traditional options like smoked salmon and jamon. The tapas menu is endless, with goodies like curried chicken salad with cranberries Spanish-style and potatoes in spicy tomato sauce.
Not Your Usual Bodega
Whether you go to Boulevard or Leawood, you’re in for a real treat. With generous happy hours from 2 – 6 p.m. Monday – Saturday (that’s right, happy hour on the weekend), you’ll get half price on all bottles of wine, half-price selected tapas, half price sangria, and unlimited paella. It all depends on what day of the week you show up!
Try the skewered chicken and chorizo tapas with garlic cumin aioli served with a pitcher of house sangria. Spicy black bean soups and Spanish hearts on romaine salads are the ideal starters. Whether you’re in the mood for wining, dining or a little of both, La Bodega has you covered.
