Join the American Royal this Autumn!
For 115 years, the American Royal has been a staple in KCMO offering two months of entertainment. Races, bull riding, BBQs and more offer family-friendly entertainment that you have to see to believe. This year, the World Series of Barbecue is being hosted at the American Royal—the biggest BBQ competition in the world. Check it out October 26-30 at the Kansas City Speedway, and watch over 600 groups compete for the best in the pit. Expect over 50,000 attendees, but don’t worry. There’s enough for everyone to enjoy.
TableSteaks is also heating up in October with steak and spirit and wine tastings throughout the month. Tickets are available online for this incredible dinner series. On October 11, don’t miss the Hunter/Jumper Horse Show with Olympic-level jumping competitions. Grace, athleticism and speed are all required to get to this level of sportsmanship.
A Little Country
October 16 are the Judging Contests for both teams and groups in livestock competitions that have been taking place since September. Watch the winners get crowned, and get treated to a few final showcases. The Livestock Show on October 19 offers a chance to get up close and personal with the best contestants in open and junior levels.
