Cocktails For The Holiday Season
Enjoy these simple holiday cocktails from the comfort of your hotel room!
Gingerbread Martini
This is always a holiday favorite – it brings the cookie flavors into an adult beverage. Just combine 1 oz gingerbread syrup with 2 oz milk, 3 oz vanilla vodka, and 2 oz of Irish cream liquor. Shake well with ice, then pour into your glass. Sprinkle a bit of nutmeg on top and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Pomegranate Martini
If you tend to drink appletinis, you’ll enjoy this twist. Shake together 2 oz of berry vodka, 2 oz of pomegranate juice, and 1 oz of Cointreau. Pour into a martini glass, and garnish with a slice of lime (for the red and green effect!). It’s simple enough to make, even in a hotel room, and still delicious.
Snowy Martini
Those dreaming of a white christmas will appreciate this drink. Combine 1.5 oz of vanilla vodka, 1.5 oz of white chocolate liquor (Godiva has a great option), 1 oz creme de cacao, and 2 oz cream. Shake it well, pour into a glass, and garnish with a christmas cookie. It tastes like winter in a glass! You can even add a bit of peppermint schnapps to it for a minty twist.
Cranberry Old-Fashioned
This classic drink gets a holiday twist with cranberry juice. Use real cranberry juice, not cranberry cocktail for the best flavor. Combine 2 oz of bourbon with 1 oz of cranberry juice, then add two dashes of bitters. Stir gently and serve over ice.
Spiced Pear
Pear juice is an overlooked ingredient, but with a bit of spice, it’s perfect for the holidays. Combine 2 oz pear juice, 2 oz dark spiced rum, and 1 oz cinnamon schnapps. Add a dash of cinnamon, then shake well. Serve over ice with a cinnamon stick garnish, and enjoy!
End the day with a relaxing, holiday-themed cocktail and your favorite Christmas movie!
