Celebrate the 4th of July in Kansas City Missouri

Kansas City Royals Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular (7.1 miles)

Where: Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri.
What: Game between Royals and Minnesota Twins.
When: Fireworks after 6:15 p.m.
Cost: Game ticket.

KC Riverfest (7.3 miles)

Where: Berkley Riverfront Park, Kansas City, Missouri.
What: Children’s activities and two live music stages.
When: Gates open at 4 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.
Cost: $5 (ages 12 and younger free).

Leawood July 4 Celebration (9.8 miles)

Where: Leawood City Park, Leawood, Kansas.
What: Children’s activities and live music.
When: Gates open at 6p.m. with children’s activities. Live music at 7:30 p.m.. Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
Cost: Free!

Parkville July 4th Celebration (13.6 miles)

Where: English Landing Park, Parkville, Missouri.
What: Event includes pancake breakfast, community parade, shows, vendors, carnival, beer garden and live music.
When: All-day event from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
Cost: Parade $25

Star Spangled Spectacular at Corporate Woods (14.4 miles)

Where: Overland Park, Kansas.
What: Food, drink and merchandise vendors, followed by live music. It is suggested to bring a lawn chair and blanket.
When: Event opens at 5 p.m. Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

Celebrate America Fireworks Show (14.9 miles)

Where: Worlds of Fun amusement park, Kansas City, Missouri.
What: Smoked BBQ, craft beer from Boulevard Brewing Company, and fireworks
When: Fireworks at 10 p.m.
Cost: Park admission

’Big Bang’ 4th of July Celebration (15.2 miles)

Where: Longview Lake Shelter #13, Kansas City, Missouri
What: Activities include children’s carnival, live music, skydivers, military tribute.
When: Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Cost: Free!

Gladstone Independence Day Celebration (15.5 miles)

Where: Oak Grove Park, Gladstone, Mo.
What: “Mango Yango”, a duo of Scotty Yates and Tony Rustici will play music from 50’s. 60’s to 70’s to country rock and dance songs starting at 7:00 pm followed by a performance by the North Star Community Band and fireworks.
When: Event begins at 7 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.

Olathe Fireworks Show (19.9 miles)

Where: Great Mall of the Great Plains, Olathe, Kansas.
What: 1860’s style, Stagecoach ride, and fireworks
When: Gates open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

Liberty 4th Fest (20.8 miles) 

Where: Greene Stadium at William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri.
What: DJ, inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, fishing in the stocked ponds, temporary tattoos, beer garden, food trucks, corn hole tournament, live music from Lost Wax, and fireworks
When: (NOTE THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE JULY 3RD) Gates open at 6p.m. Live music at 8p.m. Fireworks at 10p.m.

Blue Springs Fireworks Program (22.2 miles)

Where: Blue Springs High School Peve Stadium, Blue Springs, Missouri.
What: Live entertainment; Michael Dale featuring Monica Pearce
When: Gates open at 6 p.m. Live music at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Cost: Free!

Celebration Park Fireworks (30 miles)

Where: Celebration Park, Gardner, Kansas.
What: Live music featuring Jerrod Niemann, Runaway June, Big Time Grain Company and Rachel Louise Taylor.  Food vendors, bounce houses, face painting, portable zip lines (minimum weight for zip lines is 70lbs, max 250lbs), interactive entertainment and fireworks.
When: Events starts at 3:30pm. Fireworks at 10pm.
Cost: Free!

Fort Leavenworth: Fireworks and Salute to the Union (39.9 miles)

Where: Merritt Lake, Leavenworth, Missouri.
What: Concessions, games and a concert.
When: Gates open at 4 p.m. Salute to the Union at 8 p.m. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
Cost: Free!
